Texas Media Ignores Story Of Senator’s Rage On Senate Floor

I heard about the story of Sen. Whitmires (D, Houston) profanity laced rage from another person the other day. I didn’t believe it simply because I figured if it was true, the news would have been all over it.

After a little digging, I found a podcast of the incident. Seems Senator Whitmire was throwing a fit because he was not on the floor at the time of a vote on the Voter ID bill and his vote was not counted.

Act Now To Get Texas Lawmakers To Pass Voter ID Bill

Fellow Texans! The time is at hand to stand up and be heard!

We currently have the best shot that we’ll likely get at having the Texas Voter ID (HB218) brought up for debate in the Texas Senate without the Liberal Democrats blocking it.

For those of you who don’t know about the Voter ID bill, it’s a bill that will require anyone wishing to vote to provide a photo ID in order to cast a vote. It’s that simple.

Top U.S. Senators & White House Negotiate Amnesty Deal For Illegals

Top Senators in the U.S. Senate and negotiators from the White House hacked out a bipartisan deal yesterday that would grant amnesty to between 12 and 20 million illegal aliens already here in the U.S.

Folks, if you saw how George Bush and Ted Kennedy were practically tripping over each other to announce this deal, you’d known instantly that it smelled rotten all the way to the top. Anytime Ted Kennedy comes out and tells me he has something good for me, I run the other way.

Ron Paul - Who Is Ron Paul And What Is He Smoking?

ron paulRon Paul this. Ron Paul that. Ron Paul can part the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Ron Paul can jump tall buildings with a single bound. Ron Paul can walk on water.

If you listen to Ron Paul supporters, he can do all this and more.

Just who is Ron Paul and why should anyone vote for him as President of the United States?

Ron Paul is a Republican Congressman from Texas who is running for President of the United States.

Texas Democrats Trying To Block Voter ID Bill

Texas Democrats are trying their best at stopping HB218, the Voter ID Bill. No wait, the Liberals like to call it the Voter Suppression law.

Texas Democrats fully understand that if this law passes, their days are numbered. They’ll be no more illegals voting for the Dems nor will dead people be lining up at the Voter booth waiting to Vote “D”, non-local homeless bums or the same person voting multiple times. This is precisely why the Dems are raising such a ruckus.

Texas Lawmakers More Concerned About Marriage Than Illegal Immigration

I guess I shouldn’t blame our state’s Lawmakers. They’re probably taking a que from our National Lawmakers.

Our Lawmakers are becoming more and more spineless - do nothing mouth pieces. Few of them want to tackle the hard issues because they’re afraid they’ll disinfranchise some sector of voters. This is what happens when people make a career out of being a politician rather than serving for a few years then going home, getting a real job and being outstanding pillars of the community. This is the way our Founding Fathers wanted it, but it sure as heck isn’t the way it’s evolved. (wow, I almost got on a term limit rant..shew…that was close)

Take for instance the Texas Lawmakers action with HB2685. Seems our Texas Lawmakers are more concerned about people getting married than they are about millions of illegal aliens coming across the Texas border with Mexico.

Who Still Buys Gas From Citgo?

I was sitting at a red ligh the other day in Houston (yes it’s true, I didn’t run it :)) and watched a Citgo station across the street. People were pulling in there and filling up like it was the last place on Earth.

My, my, what short memory we have. I’m sure most people could care less that Citgo is a subsidary of the Venezuelan state owned oil company Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. Which means that Venezuela President Chavez controls their purse strings.

Why should this bother me or any other American?

Let’s see…I dunno….the only good reason I could think of is because the President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, would like nothing more than to see the United States become ashes. I’m sorry, but for me, that is the only reason I need to never visit another Citgo station.

Prosecutor Of Ramos and Compean On Damage Control Tour

Pressure from the media and Congress has forced Johnny Sutton to go on the offensive to try and explain his handling and gung-ho prosecution of two Border Patrol agents and a Sheriff’s Deputy involved in a shooting incident of a illegal alien.

In doing so, it looks like Johnny Sutton has jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire as they say. Sutton did two radio interviews on Houston talk shows and then followed it up with an interview with the Houston Chronicle. Sutton either has a poor memory or is spinning his side of the story as he wants it told as there are inconsistencies (some would call them lies) between what he said in the interviews, what he’s told others and what actually happened according to legal documents.

Oklahoma About To Pass The Toughest Immigration Law In U.S., Why Can’t Texas?

The Houston Chronicle has a slanted piece (big surprise hunh) about Oklahoma Lawmakers about to pass the toughest law on immigration in the Nation. I’m wondering, if they can do it, why can’t Texas?

The Oklahoma law will cut off benefits and jobs for illegal immigrants. Notice I said ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, not legal immigrants.  The Oklahoma Bill will also allow law enforcement to detain them solely because they are here illegally…ARE YOU LISTENING HOUSTON, AUSTIN AND OTHER SANCTUARY CITIES?

Oklahoma Lawmakers are taking a step to protect their citizens. It’s what they were elected to do. Somehow, that little tidbit of fact has been lost on most lawmakers not only here in Texas, but the Nation as well.

Kudos To Channel 2 In Houston On ICE Turning Immigrants Loose On The Public

KPRC Channel 2 in Houston has done an investigative report on how Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is letting illegal immigrants who are criminals back into the public. (well, just their being here makes them a criminal, but we’re talking about ones that create more crimes once they get here)

Amy Davis of Channel 2 in Houston learned that instead of deporting these illegal alien criminals, ICE routinely lets them go back into the Public. Apparently there is no such thing as “3 strikes and your out” when it comes to the illegal aliens.

A shocking find that Ms. Davis made was that between Jan and the end of March, Harris County booked 979 criminals into the county jail who confessed to being in the U.S. illegally. (this obviously doesn’t count the illegals that didn’t tell county officials that they were illegals) Geez, do the math, thats an average of over 300 illegals per month. THAT’S JUST THE ONES WHO WERE CAUGHT IN HARRIS COUNTY! Now tell me there’s no illegal invasion!

Poker Soon To Be Legal In Texas?

I was listening to State Senator Dan Patrick on the radio Monday afternoon when a caller called in and asked him about HB-3186. This bill would legalize Poker in the State of Texas.

From what the Senator said, this bill would only legalize Poker rooms in Texas, not Gambling or Casino’s. The caller asked Senator Patrick if he would support such a Bill if it made it out of the House and the Senator said that he had only heard of the Bill, not seen or read it.

Texas Cities Footing The Legal Bill For Anti-Illegal Alien Laws

Farmers Branch Texas became one of the first cities in the Nation to pass an ordinance prohibiting landlords from renting to illegal aliens.

Now in the common sense realm, most of us don’t see a problem with that. But you know as well as I do, when it comes to the illegal alien issue, common sense is dead and gone.

This ordinance in Farmers Branch and many other cities around the country have caused the Liberals to get their panties in a wad much larger than before. Demonstrations, criticism and now lawsuits have been generated because of these ordinances that were passed, many by a vote of the LEGAL CITIZENS.

Texas Republican Lawmakers Lay Low On Imigration Issues

As was forcasted prior to the Elections, Texas Lawmakers are laying low on the imigration issues. Looks like it’s back to the status quo.

House Bill 13 (HB-13) has been a heated topic and was recently sent back to committee due to some stupid technicality. The Bill’s Analysis quoted a regulation number that doesn’t exist. Yes folks, these are your lawmakers. They can’t even proof read a freakin’ bill to make sure laws they reference actually exist!

This bill is labeled as the “Border Security Bill”. Sounds tough doesn’t it? Unfortunately for Texas citizens it’s the same ole water down crap. The Dems and Repubs are arguing over where the power goes. I have to agree with the Dems that I don’t want all the power of these State agencies in the Governors Mansion.

“Under God” added to the Texas Pledge

State legislators finally got around to adding the words “under God” to the State Pledge of Allegiance.

I don’t know how long this has been trying to happen, but I’ve heard about it off and on for a few years. While I support this bill (HB 1034), I wish now they would get back to work on more important items for Texans.

How many of you actually know the Texas Pledge? (no cheating!)

Perry Wants Guns Everywhere!

I reckon this is as good topic for a first post as any!

A few days ago our Gov. Rick Perry said that he was in favor of those with Concealed Carry Permits to be able to carry their guns anywhere, ie; churces, hospitals, university campuses, courhouses, bars, etc. I wonder if that means the Statehouse?
