What is even more ironic is that Obama invited Congressmen to the White House to read the bill “line by line”. Yet, Obamas press secretary couldn’t tell reporters whether or not Obama himself would read the bill when asked. Instead, Robert Gates, Obama’s press secretary, tried to turn the tables on the reporter by asking him if he’d had read the bill. Typical Whitehouse Whitewashing.

Hmm. Wouldn’t you think “organized” would be when one group hires community activist group and busses volunteers to someplace with commercial made signs to protest? For example, when George Soro’s backers hired Acorn to find volunteers and bussed them to Conn. where AIG execs lived so they could protest at their homes? Yet, the media, White House and Democrats never had nothing to say about that.

Now with Obama’s and Democrats approval rating tanking, even among Democrats, the White House and the DNC are coming out swinging at the grass roots groups who are fed up with their attempt at railroading the Health Care and other socialist reforms on America. A lot like they lashed out at the Average Joe for asking Obama a serious question to which he couldn’t, or wouldn’t, answer honestly.

Harry Reid took a page out of Nancy Pelosi’s playbook recently by holding up Astro Turf and calling the protest “organized” by the right wing conservatives.

They totally ignore the fact that their approval rating, even among Dems and especially among Independents, are falling fast.

They just don’t get it!

They don’t get that Americans are waking up and getting off their asses and fighting back.

They don’t get that we’ve had enough. We were fed up with out of control Government spending under Bush. We took Obama at his word that he would bring everyone together and control Government spending. Well, we’ve learned his word isn’t worth squat and that he’s divided this country more than Bush or anyone else ever thought about doing it. Just look at the fiasco he caused when  his buddy Professor Gates was arrested.

And now they insist on ignoring the ground swell of opposition to this Socialized Health Care Reform Plan of theirs and vow to go at it alone without the Republicans if they have to.  They’re counting on Americans to have a short attention span again and counting on all those who sit around and live off the Government tit to bail them out come election time again. That’s why they’re only mildly worried about these town hall protest.

If it’s one thing they understand, it’s that those who depend on the Government for all their needs will always vote for those they believe they can get the most from. Sadly, many Republicans have started to think this way.

In a way, I hope they do go at it alone. If the American people will remember how mad they were at this time, then the DNC going at it alone will be a good idea. Then people will wake up and correct their mistake and send ‘em back home at next Fall’s election. Yeah, I see that happening!

For once, I’m glad I was wrong.

Today indeed will go down as a great day in U.S. History.

Today the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Americans do have the right to keep and bear arms!

The vote coming down from the U.S. Supreme Court was 5 to 4. Of course, you had the Liberal judges of Ginsburg, Stevens, Souter and Breyer dissenting. Why am I not surprised?

By the way, these are the same 4 Justices, along with Justice Kennedy, that said executing Child Rapist was “cruel and unusual” punishment. Apparently they didn’t take into account that it’s far more cruel and unusual to the kids who are raped by these monsters.

If these two ruling do not open many peoples eyes as to how important the next President will be, then nothing will and you’ll get exactly what you deserve.

Why the Vote for the next U.S. President is important

This should show everyone how important the next President will be. Say what you will about Bush, but if he hadn’t appointed judges like Roberts and Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court, we could probably have kissed our 2nd Amendment rights goodbye.

Now I’m no McCain supporter, but between McCain and Obama, which one do you feel would appoint conservative judges to the High Court? You can bet your ass Obama wouldn’t! In fact, there have been rumors that he’s made a deal with Hillary to appoint her should he become President and get the chance to appoint a U.S. Supreme Court justice. Could you imagine that?

McCain is certainly no shoe-in to appoint conservative judges, but I’ll take my chances with home before I would Obama any day!

But for now my good Americans, let us not worry about such things. Let’s rejoice in the fact that we, as Americans, can still keep and bear guns. While the rest of the World is succumbing to their dictators whims, we as a nation can till arm ourselves against such tyrants.

Will you Join me in celebration by going and and popping a few caps today!? And since this ruling came about because of Washington D.C.’s ban on handguns, I’ll be taking my .40 S&W and .45 ACP to the range and burning some powder just for them because our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms is still intact!

Okay, so this Teacher in Oregon who says it’s her right to carry her pistola in class isn’t from Texas, but with an attitude like hers, she should be. In fact, more Texas teachers could take a lesson from her.

Shirley Katz is a High School English teacher at South Medford High. Shirley says that she fears her ex-husband and a Columbine type situation happening. So she went out and passed a firearms safety class and obtained a Concealed Carry Permit (CCP) from the local Sheriff.

In her words;

I have that (concealed weapons) permit. I refuse to let my ex-husband bully me. And I am not going to let the school board bully me, either.

You go girl!

Of course, the Superintendent, Phil Long,  insist that Students and Faculty are safer without guns on campus. 

Yeah Phil, that’s what they said at Virginia Tech and Columbine.

The local school board prohibits Faculty from bringing guns to school. Katz says this is unlawful and she plans on challenging it.

This is primarily about my Second Amendment right and Oregon law and the simple fact that I know it is my right to carry that gun

Katz carries a Glock 9mm. She refuses to say whether or not she has ever carried the gun to school.

You know, this woman Katz has a lot of common sense. She’s trying to be proactive and refuses to be a victim. She sees the current safety plan at the school as ineffective.

Our safety plan at our school now is that if somebody threatening comes in, you try to avoid eye contact, and do whatever they say, and that is not acceptable anymore. Shootings at Virginia Tech University and the one-room Amish school in Pennsylvania, reinforced my belief we have to take action, we can’t just acquiesce as we have been taught to do.

Yeah, Shirley get’s it. It’s unfortunate the school board and others don’t. But when you stop to think about how the whole mess is ran by Liberals, it’s no surprise they are raising stink over this Teacher being proactive and trying to protect herself and her students.

She even has a plan if an attack occurs. She would be sure students were locked in nearby offices out of the line of fire, and she would be ready with her pistol. Now that’s being proactive!

Let’s all wish her the best of luck in this case. I don’t really see any Oregon court agreeing with her so this thing could go all the way to the top.

Yes, I know the Amnesty Bill is a U.S. Senate Bill (S.B. 1348) at this writing, but I wanted to put my Congressman on notice and to see how he stood on the issue.

In the reply letter he sent me, Congressman Brady stated that he had sent Nancy Pelosi a letter opposing any legislation that would give amnesty to illegal aliens in the United States. (I bet she sit right down and read that letter)

The letter also went on to say that Congressman Brady cosponsored HR 1950, The Birthright Citizenship Act of 2007.

Congressman Brady’s letter stated that this bill would deny citizenship at birth to children born in the United States of parents who are not citizens or permanent residents. My letter stated that this bill attempts to do away with the practice of illegal aliens crossing the border to give birth in hopes of receiving U.S. citizenship.

Congressman Brady and I haven’t seen eye to eye on several issues, but darnit, if he’s trying to make up, he’s doing a splendid job! You go Congressman Brady!

This legislature got few of the large and important Bills passed, such as the Voter ID Bill, you can thank Lt. Governor Dewhurst for letting that one slip away, but Lawmakers were busy getting some “feel good” laws passed so their time in Austin wouldn’t be completely wasted….just 98% of it.

Some of the items they did manage to get done were….

• the no call list will be extended to cell phones
• tenants will have a right to hot water in their units (like the tenants aren’t smart enough to choose a place with hot water, they need Texas Lawmakers to make sure they rent a place with hot water)
• you can’t chain a dog and leave it unattended in the State of Texas now (really, I’m not making this stuff up)
• if you’re 85 or older, you’ll have to pass a vision test every two years in order to get your drivers license
• those wanting to own dangerous snakes will be required to obtain a permit
• want to lend your land to those flying radio controlled aircraft? Good news, if it crashes and hurts someone, you can’t be sued
• the minimum age requirement for paper boys and girls was lowered from 18 to 16
• marriage license will cost $60 unless you take an 8 hour pre-marriage course
• places that sell tobacco must post big signs warning pregnant mothers that smoking is dangerous to them and their fetus’s (I wonder if they’ll pass a bill requiring a big sign in front of abortion clinics stating abortion may be harmful to the mother and fetus?)
• Massage therapist must obtain 500 hours of training now as opposed to 300 hours…but a Home Builder still requires not formal training or licensing in Texas…go figure 

Yep, our Lawmakers were really standing up for us in Austin this session. Let’s remembere this session when the next voting season rolls around.

The two got into a heated debate and McCain accused Cornyn of trying to stone-wall the deal by brining up too many “petty” objections.  These “petty objections” McCain was referring to were the number of judicial appeals the illegals could get under the Amnesty Bill. I believe John McCain used a curse word that is used in the place of “Chicken Poop”.

Cornyn pointed out to McCain that he’d been “too busy running for President” to take part in the negotiations.

Cornyn told McCain,

“Wait a second here,” “I’ve been sitting in here for all of these negotiations and you just parachute in here on the last day. You’re out of line.”

McCain replied;

” F— you! I know more about this than anyone else in the room,”

Well, isn’t that a find How-Do-You-Do from a Senator from a state with rampant illegal immigration and from a man who wants to be our next President.

McCain has been so busy trying to be President, he’s missed 43 straight votes in the Senate. Arizona, you’re getting screwed!

We currently have the best shot that we’ll likely get at having the Texas Voter ID (HB218) brought up for debate in the Texas Senate without the Liberal Democrats blocking it.

For those of you who don’t know about the Voter ID bill, it’s a bill that will require anyone wishing to vote to provide a photo ID in order to cast a vote. It’s that simple.

However, the Democrats knowing full well that illegal aliens have no photo ID, are strongly opposed to this bill and have taken steps to block it. However, with one of their own out of action, they will fall one vote short of being able to block it.

Sen. Mario Gallegos Jr., D-Houston, who has missed most of the session due to a liver transplant, is on his way back to Houston and will not likely be able to make a return trip to Austin. With Gallegos gone, the Dems only have 10 votes, 1 short of the 11 needed to block the bill from making to the floor of the Senate.

What is needed now is for Lt. Governor David Dewhurst to put the bill up for a vote. However, Dewhurst not being the strongest leader of the Senate, he needs a little nudge from his fellow Texans. This is where you and I come in.

We need to write or call Lt. Governor David Dewhurst and let him know we want this bill to be put up in the Senate for a vote. And we want it now!

We don’t have much time. This session ends May 28th and the Lt. Governor needs to put the bill up for a vote before that time. We’re running out of time and you need to act NOW, I’ve already fired off emails and calls to the Lt. Governors Office and to my Senator.

You also need to contact your Senator, heck, contact all the Senators. If they tell you that you’re not in their district, remind them that you are a TEXAN!

Once your on the page, scroll down to find your Texas State Senator (not the U.S. Senator). There will be an email form and all you have to do is fill it out and hit send. Very simple to do and get your voice heard.

Now, there’s one more thing you can do. Urge your neighbors, friends and anyone within earshot to do the same. Stay on them like you’re selling a bad MLM product!

We’re very close to getting this bill passed, but if Lt. Governor Dewhurst doesn’t bring it to the floor for a vote, nothing will happen and it will die until next session.

Folks, if you saw how George Bush and Ted Kennedy were practically tripping over each other to announce this deal, you’d known instantly that it smelled rotten all the way to the top. Anytime Ted Kennedy comes out and tells me he has something good for me, I run the other way.

This Bill, should it pass both Houses and then be signed by the President, would grant illegals that are already here amnesty in exchange for a fine and some paper work. The U.S. will basically turn itself into a legal imigrant smuggler.

I’m sorry, that’s just not good enough.

Already there is opposition to this amnesty bill from both sides. The Republicans are saying it’s an amnesty bill (rightly so) and the Liberal Dems are crying that it will affect the illegal families (umm….what about our families?) and they’re upset that it puts a point system on job skills, education and criminal background. Basically the better you are for this country, the better chances you’d have to get in. Why the Dems are against that, I have no idea. I guess it has something to do with their base being uneducated types.

Personally, this is how I see it going down. The powers that be that are in favor of this deal know they’re going to have to ram this thing through quickly or it will get dragged down. Those in favor don’t want this Bill hanging around come election time. Look for the Teddy Boy and Uncle George to try and ram this down our throats.

Our only chance is to contact our Senators and Congressmen/women and have them stand against this outrageous amnesty bill. I sincerely doubt it would do any good to contact Uncle George. He’s had his heart set on granting amnesty all the way back to when he was Gov.

This is real simple to do folks. Take a few minutes to send each of your Congressmen a note. You can either do that or continue to set on your ass and bitch and whine about the illegal imigration issues. I know bitching and whining are the safe bets for a lot of you, so try something different this time and actually do something about it! And while you’re at it, tell your dead beat family members and friends to get off their lazy and whiny asses and do something about it besides throwing back a 6 pack and whatching the game.

Tell your Congressman or woman that you’ve had it with the imigration issue. Tell them it’s time to build the wall and take away the incentives that are keeping the 12 to 20 million illegals here in OUR country. Tell them it’s time to begin the mass roundup of illegals and deportation of illegal imigrants needs to begin Yesterday!

Texas Democrats fully understand that if this law passes, their days are numbered. They’ll be no more illegals voting for the Dems nor will dead people be lining up at the Voter booth waiting to Vote “D”, non-local homeless bums or the same person voting multiple times. This is precisely why the Dems are raising such a ruckus.

The only ones who would be suppressed by this Bill are illegal aliens or those who’ve lost their right to Vote for whatever reason. (you know, people who’d be breaking the law by Voting, we’re doing them a favor)

There are some lame examples of Citizens who might be suppressed by this law, but let’s put these 2 or 3 people in the “sacrificing yourself for the good of many”.

From the common sense stand point, let’s look at a few examples.

According to Katy from Austin, her son has holes in his pockets and loses his cell phone and ID documents way to often.

Really? Do you want someone who is so immature that they can’t keep up with their ID and Cell phone voting? I was as active as anyone when I was a teenager and I never did lose my ID nor did anyone I know of. (we didn’t have cell phones to lose back in the day) What a lame ass excuse for someone who will be “suppressed”.

Doug in Austin said. “One of the major problems the homeless face is not having identification. The get robbed or they lose them.”

Another case of someone not being able to keep up with their ID. Besides, I’ve known quite a few homeless people in my time and they can hide any thing where you won’t find it. It’s no secret that these homeless people roam from place to place. Who’s to say they’re State citizens at all?

Again, do you really want these type of people voting? It’s like the Law of the Fittest. If you can’t keep up with your ID, chances are real good you have no clue and should not be voting.

I’ve even heard many of the Whiney Libs say that people would “forget” their ID’s. Really?

Vote day doesn’t happen very often. I don’t know about you, but I plan for it. I make sure all my ducks are in a row and on Vote day I’ll plan to get to work later or take off earlier so I can vote.

Has anyone stopped to think that if you can’t plan to Vote and obtain all the necessary documents needed to register and vote, then you’re probably not responsible enough to be voting.

No, this law has nothing to do with suppressing a Citizens right to vote. This law has everything to do with suppressing illegal immigrants from voting and the Dems darn well know it. That’s why they’re fighting so hard to block HB218.

Our Lawmakers are becoming more and more spineless - do nothing mouth pieces. Few of them want to tackle the hard issues because they’re afraid they’ll disinfranchise some sector of voters. This is what happens when people make a career out of being a politician rather than serving for a few years then going home, getting a real job and being outstanding pillars of the community. This is the way our Founding Fathers wanted it, but it sure as heck isn’t the way it’s evolved. (wow, I almost got on a term limit rant..shew…that was close)

Take for instance the Texas Lawmakers action with HB2685. Seems our Texas Lawmakers are more concerned about people getting married than they are about millions of illegal aliens coming across the Texas border with Mexico.

The truth is, this is a pretty safe bet if your a Lawmaker. You’re pretty well assured of not upsetting anyone with a bill like this, ‘cept perhaps a couple broke 18 year olds with raging hormones who want to get hitched.

Now the hard question. Who is going to write the Marriage book of Texas? Gov. Perry? Or will we have to  have another “Special Session” to get this accomplished?

Don’t get me wrong. I think marriage is a sacred relationship between a Man and a Woman, but I also believe the State of Texas has no business passing stupid laws about marriage. I know for a fact that the State of Texas has larger problems than whether or not a couple will stay married just because they read a marriage book from the State so they could save $60.

I would rather my elected Officials get the job done that I sent them there to do. It’s not the safe thing or the most political correct thing, but it’s what you agreed to when you ran for Office and we elected you.

The Oklahoma law will cut off benefits and jobs for illegal immigrants. Notice I said ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, not legal immigrants.  The Oklahoma Bill will also allow law enforcement to detain them solely because they are here illegally…ARE YOU LISTENING HOUSTON, AUSTIN AND OTHER SANCTUARY CITIES?

Oklahoma Lawmakers are taking a step to protect their citizens. It’s what they were elected to do. Somehow, that little tidbit of fact has been lost on most lawmakers not only here in Texas, but the Nation as well.

After further research, emails, etc., I’ve found out that most of the Oklahoma politicians surveyed are not worried about the possibility of a backlash from so called civil rights groups such as LULAC and other immigrant pimping organizations.  They’re more worried about the backlash from their constituents.

This bill will go a long way in taking away the incentives for illegals to go to Oklahoma and other states with similar laws. With laws such as these, illegals will have no reason to come here. You won’t have to worry about deporting 12 million illegals. When they can’t make a living here, they’ll go home. Problem solved. Why this is so hard to get through many of our lawmakers and others is a mystery to me.

Bill Calls For Legal Penalties To Those Harboring Illegal Aliens

This bill also calls for harsh penalties if you’re caught harboring an illegal.  Not only that, but it will restrict them from obtaining legal documents such as drivers license and denies them Government benefits with the exception of a medical emergency. The Oklahoma bill will also expand the authority of the State law agencies to enforce Federal Immigration laws and will deny bail to any illegal alien arrested for a felony or DWI.

Executive Director of the Latino Community Developement Agency in OKC said that, “Foreigners (read, illegal aliens)will fear sending their children to school under this new law. Bloggers Note: Comments in ( ) are mine

She also went on to say “You could see an outbreak of disease“.

Hmmm, I wonder if she could be talking about the outbreak of Lepresey, TB, Plague and other nasty 3rd World diseases popping up along the border cities?

And although there are a few bleeding heart Liberals in Oklahoma who are taking exception to this law, most are working along side their Republican counterparts to get this law passed.

Can you imagine that? Reps and Dems working together for the good of the States citizens. You know, there was once a time in Texas when we had such elected officials as those in Oklahoma.

From what the Senator said, this bill would only legalize Poker rooms in Texas, not Gambling or Casino’s. The caller asked Senator Patrick if he would support such a Bill if it made it out of the House and the Senator said that he had only heard of the Bill, not seen or read it.

He commented that he liked to play Poker and felt like it was a “game of strategies”. I got the feeling from listening to the Senator that he would support a Bill on Legalized Poker if it was written to his liking.

HB 3186 would give a lot of the money back to the municipalities and to Charity. Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t care for Casino’s. However I would have no problem with Poker rooms if, and only if, a majority of the money actually went to Charities, not some Fat Cat County Commissioner to spend on his Ranch or other frivilous expenditures.

I’m also not sure that the Texas Lottery Commission is the right choice to watch over such an undertaking seeing how they want to outsource the Lottery every time you turn around.

I know it’s only a matter of time before some form of legalized Gambling is passed. Many of the Legislators haven’t thought about all the money they are missing out on (or figured out how to get it). You don’t think that they’re going to let all these illegal Gamerooms continue to operate forever are you? Trust me, they’ll figure out a way to get a piece of that action as well!
