Need Car Insurance? No Drivers License? No ID? No Problem In Texas!

I did a double take when I saw this news article on KHOU in Houston.

Illegal aliens who can not get a drivers license in Texas are able to get car insurance.  Ask yourself this; “What do illegals need car insurance for if they can’t get a drivers license?”

You and I know it’s to drive their cars. Cars they have no license to drive. These are the same illegals that the Liberals will tell you “are here just to provide for their families and have not broke any other law that coming across the border illegally.”

Last time I checked, driving without a drivers license was against the law.

The Texas Insurance Commissioner says these policies are completely legal. Insurance Agents don’t ask if the the illegals have drivers license, nor do most of them care.

Sure, it might be legal, but is it something that they should be doing? Why do they need a law prohibiting this? These companies should just buck up and refuse to write such policies whether or not it’s “legal”?

And when’s the last time you heard of an accident involving an illegal where they hung around until the police arrived? Me too.

Mexican newspapers are full of ads for car insurance with no drivers license and no ID.

An insurance agent quoted in the news article said many insurance companies like Progressive, Infinity and other Insurance companies have similar policies.

I don’t know about you, but I think these companies are going to write these policies, they should be more open about them, not only in Mexican newspapers or Strip Mall signs. I’m sure many Texans would be shocked to know that this practice is going on.

Good citizens should cancel their policies with any insurance company that writes such policies and only do business with those companies who do not. I also think it’s high time the Insurance Commission prohibit such policies. What say you Mr. Insurance Commissioner?

Sure, these companies can legally write such policies under Texas law. I have a right as a citizen to do business with them or not.

The funny thing is, Insurance Agents and Insurance Companies sill wonder why the public views them right down there with Used Car Salesmen and ambulance chasing lawyers.
