Texas Cities Footing The Legal Bill For Anti-Illegal Alien Laws

Farmers Branch Texas became one of the first cities in the Nation to pass an ordinance prohibiting landlords from renting to illegal aliens.

Now in the common sense realm, most of us don’t see a problem with that. But you know as well as I do, when it comes to the illegal alien issue, common sense is dead and gone.

This ordinance in Farmers Branch and many other cities around the country have caused the Liberals to get their panties in a wad much larger than before. Demonstrations, criticism and now lawsuits have been generated because of these ordinances that were passed, many by a vote of the LEGAL CITIZENS. 

It should come as no surprise that many cities choose to abandon these laws rather than fight them in court. The thought process is that it’s cheaper to forget about these laws than to fight for what’s right.

After Farmers Branch passed it’s law last year, 4 lawsuits were filed against the city. To date, the city has paid over $250,000 dollars defending itself against these frivilous lawsuits. Most was likely tax payer money. Well, if I lived in Farmers Branch, I’d feel my tax dollars would be going to something worth while rather than being flushed down the drain supporting illegal aliens. Sometimes doing whats right cost you in the pocket book. I for one am willing to pay extra to make sure legal citizens come first.

Farmers Branch Councilman Tim O’Hare said in a recent interview

“I have heard people say it costs the taxpayer and it does. But the costs of having illegal immigrants living in the city are more.”

Good For You Councilman!

A gang of former city leaders is leading the charge to have voters rescind the ordinance however. They’re crying that it may cost the city millions in legal fees to defend the ordinance.

So what? Butch up you cowards and fight for your city!

Former Mayor David Blair is crying that the ordinance is doing great damage to the city. Apparently he’s never stopped to figure what illegal immigration does to a city or what cost a city has to foot to support the illegals. Shame on you Mr. Blair! It’s the “roll over and let them have their way” bleeding heart Liberals like you that have put Farmers Branch and other cities in the position of having to pass ordinances like this in an attempt to protect its citizens!

Get a clue from Councilman O’Hare who said

“Any thought that they can spend us into giving up or quitting is wrong”

Other cities stand up and take notice. These are words from a true American!
