I heard about the story of Sen. Whitmires (D, Houston) profanity laced rage from another person the other day. I didn’t believe it simply because I figured if it was true, the news would have been all over it.

After a little digging, I found a podcast of the incident. Seems Senator Whitmire was throwing a fit because he was not on the floor at the time of a vote on the Voter ID bill and his vote was not counted.

In fact, he became so belligerent, that Lt. Gov Dewhurst had to ask him to compose his self or remove his self from the Senate Floor.

At one point, Whitemire can be heard saying “I was working the G**D**n floor”. Apparently there were other comments the microphone did not pick up.

From my research, this isn’t the first time Sen. Whitmire has lost his temper on the Senate floor.

My question is, where is all the media stories on this? Why did I have to spend nearly 30 minutes to try and find this story.

If Sen. Dan Patrick or Sen. Williams had pulled such a stunt, every news outlet in the State would have been all over it. It would have been all you’d heard for days. They’d probably even asked for their resignation. But not Democrat Senator Whitmire.

He sets a fine example for all Texans.
