Well, I had an NON-incident with Rep. Dunnam so I wasn't entirely surprised to hear from Texas Monthly when he made their "Worst List." Honestly, I've heard where he's gotten help for Chilton to have a new fire truck from another energy department so I can only imagine that the reason he hasn't responded to my emails is/was because I've heard that the person in charge of the calendar in Waco has had a heart attack?

I've been volunteering over the past 18 months trying to get the place where I was in foster care rebuilt since a 2006 fire has taken out the entire downtown area in Chilton? I know fires in small Texas towns tend to make the area loose alot but "not in my backyard!" I've been trying to get the place back on the map because I've heard from the multiple semi-truck drivers who fly thru the area going double the speed limit, down Hwy 7, that "Hwy 7 is the cross-roads between I-35 and I-45?" Upon getting my map out and looking at it, I see that there's only I-10 to rival and yet these drivers were telling Falls County Judge (Steven Sharp) that's how the semi-drivers get between Ft. Worth and Houston...

Marlin is the county seat, and will run out of water within the next 15 years if nothing is done, I've emailed all politicians in the area who are mostly on board with me...in asking Texas Water Development Board and TCEQ to do something possibily emulating Canyon Lake and Dam into the Lower Brazos River Authority? The area gets 40" of annual rainfall so if a lake were to be built in the area, then Marlin has a wholesale water customer lined up with Tri-County, and I've got Schlitterbahn looking into the possibility of building a new resort...the people in the area have also asked that we add a "Pirates of the Caribbean" Festival. It's been suggested that we make people "Walk the Plank" at the Festival which I thought would be a new twist in the old fashioned Dunk Tank but unless something starts being planned now, there will NOT be any water. The population has already reduced 50% since I lived there in 1980; down to roughly 6,500.
With all the resoviours in the area, it's hard to imagine why Marlin would ever run out of water but honestly it's my own personal opinion that we could develop geo-thermal power generation (due to what's below ground there?) as well as hydro-power generation in the area so that these people could become self-sufficient in the future.

Land can't get any cheaper than it currently is right there...so building up businesses and a few new homes wouldn't kill their economy...anymore than it currently IS. A railroad goes through Marlin and I've recently heard that there's going to be a new water treatment plant going online November 1st. Yeee HA!

Chilton is the town where I was in foster care, and so I've heard that there are enough people wanting to start a Lion's Club; hopefully we'll be able to use that as a place for some common ground until we can get the entire community back up and on it's feet? The kids need something else to do besides get pregnant! We're hoping to put in soccer teams which don't currently exist there at the schools...

I've managed to network with another person from Waco who asked Martin Luther King, III to do a walk-thru...he's been to places in India, Pakistan, Iraq and I was very surprised to hear that Marlin was #35 of his 50 city walking tour of poverty! No one saw any of the politicians there except Judge Sharp...
