Finally, some good news from our Justice system. A Judge sentenced a Wrecker driver to 18 years in prison for illegal tows.

The sentence came after Michael Raitano was found guilty of towing 52 vehicles from a Bank parking lot on St. Patricks Day with the help of his Son (who goes on trial in December).

After they towed the vehicles, the Dynamic Duo then went and posted “Cars Will Be Towed” signs.

If the sentence seems a little stiff, you need to know that this isn’t the first time that Michael has had his name in the Press or been in trouble with the law. He has a pretty lengthy rap sheet.

Back in 2005 a news crew from Channel 2 here in Houston had this bozo on camera driving erratically, driving on the shoulder to get around rush hour traffic, forcing other vehicles off the road, running red lights and displaying other common driving habits of your average Wrecker driver in Houston.

By the way, in the video from Channel 2, shows Michael running a red light right in front of a Houston Police Officer. You know what happened. Nothing. The Cop didn’t blink an eye.

I for one am glad to see a clown like this off the streets. Now if the justice and legal system can just get their collective heads together and get the rest of the bad Wrecker drivers off the street, we’ll all be lot safer.

Of course that wil mean there’ll be only about a dozen wrecker drivers in the area if that happened!

Mr. Raitano has been a bad apple for years. If you ask most wrecker drivers they will tell you that he makes them all look bad. Just like any other business or profession, there are bad apples. Today the industry just got 10.000% better. Mr. Raitano had a partner in crime who towed over 300 cars from the rodeo with out signs posted, because the law does not require signs posted on a property with no driveways. This wrecker driver passed away last year from complications of diabetes. Beware many of the good guys are now gone from this business and now Houston is being over run by middle east currupts buying up the wrecker and body shop industry.

Our state just past stricter laws on wreckers and private property towing.

The sad thing about Mr. Raitano is he was actually a nice person, but he never grew up. This “former” Chipendales dancer once had everything to gain and now he will lose everthing including his anal virginity in Huntsville Texas!
